Proserpine River & Crocodile Cruise

If you'd like an adventure with a little more "bite" then take a cruise along the estuary and wetlands of the Proserpine River. Home to many fascinating species of birds and mammals, it's also the habitat of over 150 estuarine crocodiles, known locally as "salties." Your day trip into the Aussie bush starts with a short boat trip to the Port of Airlie, where you'll board your bus for an enjoyable journey to Proserpine, the heart of sugar cane country where your sightseeing boat awaits. Accompanied by your guide, you'll learn more about this unique ecosystem as you keep a look out for crocodiles. After cruising along the river, you'll set out on a unique tractor-pulled wagon ride through the Goorganga wetlands, a well-preserved habitat for native flora and fauna.
