Discover the wild heart of Alaska on this adventure along one of the state's most scenic routes. Departing from the harbor town of Seward, your motorcoach heads north on a two-hour drive along the Seward Highway, a designated National Scenic Byway. As your guide shares stories of Seward's rich railroad heritage, enjoy views of Resurrection Bay, Mt. Marathon, Kenai Lake, and the Chugach Mountains. You'll also pass the historic downtown district, lined with shops and a fishing marina. Your destination is the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, a refuge for rescued animals such as moose, bears, bison, and musk oxen, living in natural-style habitats. A knowledgeable wildlife expert will provide engaging insights before leading you to a private, hands-on reindeer encounter. Feed these gentle creatures, learn about their adaptations, and capture memorable photos. Afterward, enjoy an hour to explore the center and shop for Alaska souvenirs before your scenic return.
