Disembarkation day is an opportunity to learn Auckland's history before heading home. Visit the Auckland Museum for a guided tour of exhibits, including Maori and Polynesian culture, then enjoy a driving tour of Auckland's highlights on this fascinating adventure that concludes at the airport. Begin the day with a short drive to the Auckland Museum, a neoclassical building that houses exhibits on New Zealand and Pacific Island cultures and showcases an extensive collection of Polynesian artifacts. Explore with your guide or independently. The day continues with a panoramic drive past the city's highlights. See the downtown area and note the contrasts in architectural style: modern skyscrapers and restored Victorian buildings coexist in harmony. View the colonial-style shops that line the streets of Parnell Village, an exclusive shopping district and make a photo stop at a scenic viewpoint. You'll continue through the city to the airport.
