Walk through the pages of history beginning with a drive to the village of Bar. Founded in the 5th century BC, it's one of the oldest settlements on the Adriatic coast. Up from the village you'll find Old Bar whose 600-year-old walls and fortress lay in ruins as a result of war and earthquakes, but many of its buildings have not only survived but are still in use. A walking tour takes you past the Church of St. Katarina and the Church of St. Veneranda en route to the Turkish bath and mosque. Then, you'll rejoin your coach and continue on to Budva, known for its well-preserved medieval walls. Your guide will walk you through the narrow streets of this 2,500-year-old town past breathtaking Balkan architecture plus medieval ramparts, and 15th century towers. After your tour, you can shop for souvenirs, purchase a snack or a meal in one of the local establishments, before returning to Bar.

Visitors must walk extensive distances and negotiate uneven surfaces. Not suited for passengers in wheelchairs or with limited mobility. Wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes and bring a hat. When visiting sacred sites wear conservative attire. Clothing should cover the shoulders and knees. Shorts are not permitted.Due to ongoing road constructions, you will need to negotiate a walk of approximately 25 minutes each way (0.7 miles) in Budva. Sequence of tour stops may vary. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
