The Capitals of Montenegro

You and your fellow passengers will cover plenty of history on this fabulous all-day tour that begins with a walking tour of Podgorica, Europe's youngest capital. Your visit begins in Old Town, a network of narrow, winding streets that stand as a testament to the Ottomans who captured the city in the 15th century. Dotted with ancient mosques and traditional stone houses, Sahat Kula (Clock Tower) is one of the few Ottoman landmarks that survived WWII bombing. Nearby sits one of Podgorica's oldest houses-a 17th century building protected as a valuable cultural asset. Continuing on, you'll pass the stone Ribnica Bridge, the modern Millennium Bridge and the National Museum. Climbing back onto the motorcoach, you'll head to Cetinje, Montenegro's old capital. Here, you will tour the National Museum and visit the state apartments and view royal costumes, furnishings, and documents. Later, enjoy a delicious lunch before returning to Kotor.
