Walk along the Gobbins Coastal Path, a spectacular opportunity to take in Northern Ireland's scenery. Hike along a narrow, exciting path that hugs plunging cliffs, traverse bridges and climb rugged staircases. Experience stellar views, abundant seabirds and other wildlife. Not for the faint of heart, this excursion is perfect for adventurous adults and older children. The Gobbins Path is a strenuous 2-hour expertly guided trek that includes steep climbs and multiple stairs, narrow and uneven pathways, and bridges amidst a rocky coastal locale. Proper hiking/walking footwear, warm outerwear and a good level of fitness are required. Efforts are rewarded with exceptional views of the North Channel, the tunnels under the Irish Sea, and cliffs and caves that once sheltered pirates and smugglers. Created in 1902 for Edwardian thrill-seekers, this impressive feat of engineering has experienced a resurgence in recent years.
