Port Douglas
Located between the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest UNESCO World Heritage Sites, this charming town is home to boutiques, cafés, restaurants, a lively marina and beautiful beaches. Enjoy approximately four hours at your leisure to explore at your own pace. Soak up the sunshine on the beach, stroll among the village shops, galleries and historic buildings, or relax at a boardwalk café. Check out iconic buildings such as St. Mary's by the Sea, a charming church on the waterfront or Millionaire's Row, the area's most valued real estate.
PHOTO OPPORTUNITY
Built in 1913 and 1914, St. Mary's by the Sea is a non-denominational church on the waterfront. Heritage-listed in 1992, the small weatherboard chapel is fitted with stained glass windows, a large glass window behind the altar, and amazing views out to the Coral Sea.
