National Aviary of Colombia

Bird lovers, grab your binoculars and enjoy a visit to the exceptional Cartagena National Aviary, just a 45-minute motorcoach ride from port. Colombia is known for its bird diversity and boasts more than 1,900 species. The National Aviary displays many of the country's most important species in a 17-acre eco-park. The dramatic facility has more than 20 exhibits as well as an artificial lake where hundreds of migratory birds gather. Developed as a place of study and conservation, the aviary's trails lead visitors through different ecosystems filled with both indigenous and migratory species and through a series of different habitats containing a dazzling array of colorful birds.
