Best of Charleston: Historic Charleston & Joseph Manigault House

You'll visit the Joseph Manigault House, which was the first Adams style mansion in the city. Tour the building's impressive rooms filled with exquisite period furniture. It was built in 1803 for a family of wealthy merchant-traders and planters. A visit will also be made to the 2nd Presbyterian Church. This beautiful sanctuary with its vaulted ceiling was completed in 1811 in the classic revival style. Pass by the colorful houses on Rainbow Row and view "Four Corners of the Law," the intersection of Meeting and Broad Streets that is home to City Hall, the Federal Court House, the State Courthouse and St. Michael's Church.
