Embark on a spiritual journey to some of Rome's most revered religious sites. Upon arrival in Rome, you'll stop for photos at St. Paul's Outside the Walls Basilica, one of the four papal basilicas of Rome and the second largest after St. Peter's. Then, it's on to St. John in Lateran Basilica to see the acclaimed Holy Staircase, believed to be the same 28 steps Christ climbed when he was condemned to death. Next on the itinerary is the Basilica of St. Mary the Major, the largest church dedicated to Mary in Rome. Here, you'll view pieces of wood inside a crystal reliquary, which the faithful hold to be part of Jesus's manger. To celebrate your visit, you'll be treated to a brunch inside the Basilica! Refreshed, you'll return to your ship; en route, you'll stop for photos of St. Peter's Square and St. Peter's Basilica.

The 2025 Catholic Jubilee in Rome will take place from 12月 24, 2024 to 1月 06, 2026. During this time, the city is expecting an influx of visitors. Because of this, there may be increased wait times at the four major basilicas and surrounding points of interest, as well as traffic delays throughout the city. Tour timing may be adjusted to accommodate for these instances.Conservative attire required to enter the Churches/Basilicas. No exposed shoulders for both women & men.
The tour includes extensive walking portions and periods of standing with some steps to negotiate. Tour includes walking over even, uneven surfaces, cobblestones surfaces. Tour is not suggested for Guests with walking difficulties and/or using a wheelchair.
The drive between Civitavecchia and Rome is approximately 1 1/2 hours, subject to traffic conditions.
The order of the tour may be reversed or altered depending on traffic or local conditions.
Wear comfortable shoes, bring head cover, sunglasses, raingear.
Please be aware that ongoing restoration work is often being carried out at the various venues visited.
