Foodie's Walking Tour of Civitavecchia

Italy is a food lover's paradise. And Civitavecchia is no exception. After a short shuttle ride, you'll disembark at Michelangelo's Fortress, built in the 16th century to protect the city from pirate attacks. Follow your guide along the picturesque promenade to the Jewish Ghetto, a hidden gem dating back to the 16th century, considered to be the oldest Jewish communities in Europe. From here you'll walk into the historic heart of the Ghetto and into the cobbled streets of Piazza Leandra where you'll find the Church of the Orazione and the Church of the Star, famous for Civitavecchia's religious rites during the Easter Week.
