A short motorcoach ride transports you to the ruins of the 4,000-year-old Knossos Palace. Walk with your knowledgeable guide through this six-acre complex, constructed in 1900 B.C. with an intricate floor plan that is the stuff of thrilling Greek legends. Be sure to visit the Throne Room, where the kids will find a child's throne and colorful griffin frescoes on the wall, and the magnificent dolphin murals in the queen's Great Hall.
