Closed to the public, you'll have a privileged peek into the beautifully appointed rooms and awe-inspiring history. According to the Architectural Heritage Society of Scotland, Ardgowan Estate "evolved from a solitary watchtower to a country estate; there have been battles, witch hunts and wartime bombings, and encounters with Robert the Bruce, Napoleon and Florence Nightingale."
