Begin your day with a visit Parque Doramas, a beautifully landscaped park that features flowers, cacti and native Canarian plants such as palm trees that date back over a hundred years. Then visit the Old Quarter of Las Palmas, with a visit to Casa Museo de Colón. Devoted to the life of Columbus, the museum's collection includes a recreation of the interior of La Niña. Next up, it's time in the village of Tejeda where you can view the famous Cross of Tejeda.
Then, you'll travel to Teror and visit the Basilica. Outside, ten gargoyles stand guard while inside, the main features are the vast Baroque altar and the wooden carved figure of the Virgin Mary. After lunch, have a stroll at the botanical garden of the Duchess of Arucas. Established in 1880, the gardens are a romantic and serene setting for the 2,500 tropical plants that live in the five-acre park-like setting.
