Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the world's natural wonders, with more than 1,900 islands rising out of the sparkling green waters. Your outing includes a scenic cruise on board a private junk, with kayaking the Luon cave area and a seafood lunch. Board the private junk for a scenic cruise through spectacular scenery. Sailing on Halong Bay, you'll see hundreds of steep limestone outcroppings that have been the source of legends for centuries. At the core of the islands, there are impressive caves and grottoes. You will stop at Hang Co Cave and wander through the cavern to marvel at its stalagmite and stalactite formations (suitable only for the agile). Later, your junk drops anchor and it is time to board a two-person kayak for a guided paddle in the Luon Cave and Vung Vien fishing village area. After working up an appetite, re-board the junk to enjoy a delicious seafood and vegetable lunch, You will also enjoy a stop at a fishing village (Vung Vieng village) before returning to the ship.

This excursion requires a minimal amount of walking; however, there are approximately 0.3 miles (500 meters) to reach the local wharf and three steps between the wharf and the junks to negotiate and some - depending on tide level - inclined walk down to the boatsKayaks are two-man sea kayaks. All equipment including professional instruction and supervision is provided. A junk serves as support vehicle during your paddle. Drinks and restroom facilities are available on board. There are about 90 steep steps to reach the Hang Co Cave, which is an optional visit.
