Two top highlights of Ibaraki await on this delightful adventure that makes the most of the area's beautiful natural environment. A relaxed motorcoach drive brings you to Kairakuen Garden, one of the "Three Great Gardens" in Japan. Designed by Tokugawa Nariaki in 1842 at the end of the Edo Period, it was crafted to reflect the harmony of the yin and yang of life. The expansive grounds are awash in colorful blooms, stately groves of trees, and the Kobuntei, a Japanese-style building offering views of Senba Lake. Continue on to Hitachi Seaside Park, where the flowers change colors with the seasons. The park is famous for the 4.5 million Nemophila flowers that bloom in April and May and cascade down a hill, surrounding pedestrians in baby-blue hues. The family-friendly park also boasts a Ferris wheel and other activities that add to the fun. Return to the pier with lovely memories of your day.
