What you will visit:

Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary

Derived from an Aboriginal word that means "native companion," Bonorong is a wildlife sanctuary, home to some of Australia's most famous natives, such as Tasmanian devils and wombats, along with kangaroos and wallabies. Just 30 minutes outside of Hobart, this wildlife sanctuary is run by a dedicated staff committed to returning healthy animals to back into the wild. For over 20 years, the sanctuary has promoted its mission of reducing rates of extinction by raising community awareness. Bonorong allows many of the animals in its care to roam freely in natural habitats, including Forester kangaroos, which respond to hand feeding. Knowledgeable naturalist guides are on hand to answer questions and to assist with animal interactions.

Mt. Field National Park

The natural paradise of Mt. Field National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is best appreciated on walk along well travelled trails that take you under the world's tallest hardwood trees. Continue deeper into the Tasmanian rainforest, reaching the spectacular Russell Falls. Before departing, you'll have time to browse the Interpretation Center and visit the well-stocked gift shop.

Curringa Farm

Located near Hamilton in the Central Highlands of Tasmania, you'll be welcomed to Curringa Farm by sixth-generation farmers Tim and Jane Parsons. Here, you will engage in a unique farm tour experience complemented by a wood-fired barbecue lunch. Take in the undulating views of the mountainside dotted with 3,000 sheep. Delight in a sheep dog show and a visit to the shearing shed, where you will engage in a sheep shearing experience.

What you will see along the way:
At every turn of this adventure, there is picturesque scenery and lush foliage. Your return route from Hamilton takes you past Glen Clyde House (circa 1840) and the historic township of New Norfolk, with its many quaint cottages and gardens.

昼食:
Tuck into a tempting wood-fire barbecued lunch at Curringa Farm. Sample menu includes Scotch filet steak, a non-meat option, salads, seasonal vegetables, dessert, tea, coffee.

特記事項:

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry have advised that any passenger visiting the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary must wash their shoes upon return to the ship for biosecurity reasons. This footwear will then need to be presented at the New Zealand Customs and Agriculture & Forestry Inspection which will take place during the cruise.
