Best of Northern Wales: Porthmadog & Ffestiniog Railway without Lunch

Begin your adventures in Holyhead with a scenic motorcoach drive. Take in the sights from Anglesey to the Menai Strait and Beddgelert, one of the prettiest villages in Wales. Upon arrival in Porthmadog, stroll the town's main street, then board the train for a 90-minute journey up steep grades and around tight horseshoe bends. Negotiate the amazing Dduallt spiral and the New Moelwyn Tunnel en route to the depot at Blaenau Ffestiniog, tucked into the mountains of Snowdonia. Reboard the motorcoach, then travel through the northern core of Snowdonia National Park. Continue back to the ship through fertile valleys, passing picturesque farms enclosed by quaint Welsh dry-stone fences as you return to port.
