This recent discovered Archeological Zone, probably a mixture between Zapotec and Olmeca City, with an age of little more than 2,300 years, flourished between the Centuries VIII and X and is considered to be the largest city in the Oaxaca Coast and of great relevance as is the only vestige in the whole Pacific Ocean. Nowadays Mexico's History and Anthropology Department staff is working in the north side of the city in order to discover new vestiges that could lead them with more information about the former inhabitants.
