Calm Fjord Kayaking

Paddle along the scenic mountain line fjord of Isafjordur, absorbing breathtaking natural scenery from a different perspective. Appropriate for all levels, this two-hour kayaking adventure begins when you walk to the kayak center located behind the town's Maritime Museum. Here you'll meet your guide and participate in a safety briefing. Board your one or two-person kayak and set off on the tranquil waters. With an endless array of fjords and bays so close by, it is no wonder that Isafjordur is the sea kayaking center of Iceland. Keep a lookout for a wonderful array of birds that populate the area as well as a variety of marine life. If you happen to have binoculars, this would be the day to use them! At the completion of your time on the water, you can choose to independently visit the Maritime Museum or simply walk leisurely back to the ship.
