The drive between Ashdod and Jerusalem is approximately one hour each way.This tour has been planned with special security arrangements and requirements. A local Palestinian guide from Bethlehem will lead your tour while in the city; Israeli guides are not permitted in the city. Palestinian regulations require that all passengers be provided with an opportunity to shop at a location within Bethlehem; the duration of both the time spent at the Church of the Nativity and at the designated shopping location in Bethlehem is at the discretion of the guide, who may also receive a commission on any purchases.
Wear conservative attire when visiting sacred sites. Clothing should cover the shoulders and knees. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
Due to Israeli security regulations, all persons going ashore are reminded not to take with them any items that could be considered weapons or would not be allowed through airport security. To avoid possible delays or difficulties at security checkpoints, check the contents of any backpacks, bags, etc. before leaving the ship.
