Acclaimed by Israel's Tourism Ministry as the "largest outdoor spa in the world," the Dead Sea is a must-do when visiting Israel. Because of the high salt content of the water, people who "swim" in the Dead Sea actually float on the surface of the water. Among the minerals found in the waters and mud of the Dead Sea are bromide, magnesium and potash as well as mineral salt. It's this unique chemical composition that also gives the waters of the Dead Sea special therapeutic value. Its mud has been beneficial in treating psoriasis and rheumatic disorders and its virtues have been renowned for centuries-Cleopatra and Herod the Great visited the Dead Sea for its curative powers! You'll have around four hours to spend relaxing on Kalia Beach, a beautiful spot located at the northern area of the Dead Sea, or go for a float.
特記事項：
Passengers are reminded to wear swimwear, drinking water and bring sunscreen. Changing facilities and showers are available at the beach and lockers will be provided to store personal possessions. The drive between Ashdod and Kalia Beach is approximately 2 hours each way.Please do not bring any jewelry with you, as it is not recommended to go into the Dead Sea with it and the only place to leave it is in the lockers. It is not recommended for children under the age of 10 to go into the Dead Sea, as the water may sting their eyes.
