Enjoy a day of time travel as you walk through the narrow alleyways of ancient Jaffa then embark on a coach tour of modern day Tel Aviv. Depart Ashdod and travel north to Jaffa. Nestled inside the 120-year-old city of Tel Aviv, Jaffa is one of the world's oldest ports and one of Israel's most ancient cities. According to the Bible, 7,500-year-old Jaffa was named for Japhet, one of Noah's sons who founded the city after escaping the flood. Highlights of your walk include the Clock Tower and St. Peter's Church. Then, embark on a tour of Tel Aviv (dubbed the "Mediterranean Capital of Cool" by the New York Times) that ends at the Sarona Complex in the heart of the city. Established over 145 years ago by German Templars, the restored, car-free village offers tree-lined ponds, paved squares, grassy lawns, shops, cafés and over 30 meticulously preserved buildings.
