The day begins with a visit to the Old City and a stop at the Davidson Center, a museum complex offering a look into the life of ancient pilgrims who made their way to the Temple Mount 2,000 years ago. Walk its paved streets and marvel at the well-preserved treasures such as the Temple's staircase, ritual immersion baths, and more. Nearby stands the Western Wall, the only remains of the retaining wall surrounding the Temple Mount. Then, step inside the Burnt House Museum and discover how the structure was destroyed along with most of Jerusalem in 70 AD. The excavated house reveals scorched wooden beams and layers of ash and soot. Next, you'll journey to Bethlehem, the city of Jesus' birth for a tour of the 4th century Church of the Nativity, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the world's oldest continuously operating churches.
