This full-day tour takes you back to the ancient days of the samurai. You will travel south to the Satsuma Peninsula, a mountainous wonderland of hot springs. Your first destination is a samurai house in Chiran. Here, you'll witness a lane lined by residences of warriors who lived in the Edo period (17th through mid-19th centuries). Next, you'll head to Lake Ikeda for photo stop. The largest lake on Kyushu, Lake Ikeda is actually a caldera, and the remains of a collapsed volcano; it serves as a stunning frame for serene Mt. Kaimon (weather permitting), a beautifully conical volcano that resembles Mt. Fuji in shape. During your tour enjoy a Western-style lunch in a local restaurant before the return drive back to the pier.

We suggest passengers carry local currency for purchases.The samurai houses in Chiran are not wheelchair accessible. This tour is not recommended for passengers with walking difficulties.
A minimum of 20 passengers is required for this tour to operate.
