Calling all nature lovers, photographers and outdoor enthusiasts! Get off the beaten trail and set your sights and cameras on Kotor's unspoiled beauty from the slopes of the Via Ferrata. Italian for "iron path," the trail located on the Uvita Greda mountain peak in Durmitor National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and within walking distance from the ship's pier. Ideal for those with little or no experience, you'll be outfitted with protective alpine equipment (helmet, belt and ferrata system, which includes two carabiners, belt connector and the safety system). Experienced guides who are also members of the Mountain Service will lead you up the trail that begins at an altitude of 229 feet and ends at 688 feet. Along the way, you can stop at mountainside benches for phenomenal views. At the end of the Via Ferrata, you'll hike back to Kotor and to your ship.
