Start the day with a ride back in time on the railroad that gave birth to the banana industry. The Atlantic Railroad was considered the Panama Canal of Costa Rica. Your quaint, open-air rail car journey includes stunning scenery and expert narration. Keep your camera handy, as it is not uncommon to sight black monkeys and two-toed sloths resting peacefully in the trees. This tour does not visit a banana plantation, but an explanation of the banana growing process is provided during the train ride.
