Set off in search of pods of magnificent gray whales when you climb aboard a zippy skiff and enter the sparkling waters of Magdalena Bay on an exhilarating two-hour whale-watching adventure. Your seven-hour day of exploration begins with an approximate two-hour road trip offering stunning views of the peninsula as you cross from the Sea of Cortez to the Pacific side. At the launch point, board a skiff, put on your life vest and head out in search of migrating gray whales. Magdalena Bay is a haven for a vast array of wildlife, but this peaceful, nutrient-rich waterway is most noted for sheltering the gray whales that migrate south from chilly Alaska in February to spend their winter in the Mexican sunshine. This whale species is unusually curious and friendly, so you might even find them frolicking alongside the boat. After two hours on the water, enjoy lunch at local restaurant and then return to port.
