この地域の史跡の歴史的重要性と風景美を発見しましょう。バスで江戸時代伊東氏に治められた飫肥城跡と城下町へ向かいます。当時のままの石垣を鑑賞したり、武家屋敷を改装した趣きのある博物館を訪れましょう。次に宮崎市の沖合にある青島へ向かいます。この島は国の天然記念物に指定されており、唯一の建造物は平安時代の9世紀にジャングルの中に建てられた青島神社です。青島神社は、愛しあうカップルに祝福を授けると考えられています。境内のジャングルの古道を抜けた奥には元宮の祠があります。ランチの後は、道の駅を訪れショッピングなどを楽しんだら、バスで港に戻ります。

※青島神社まで石製の橋を300mほど歩きます。また飫肥城跡には階段が多く、長い距離を歩きますので、歩行の困難な方にはお勧めしません。
