Enjoy a scenic drive via air-conditioned transportation then, accompanied by a guide, take a walking tour of the city. Walk across the drawbridge entrance into the old walled part of the city that dates back to 1745. Stroll through cobblestone streets lined with colorful colonial houses in the Historic Quarter. See the famous Street of Sighs and the Basilica - Uruguay's oldest church. Tour the Main Square, the ruins of the San Francisco Convent and the lighthouse (entry not included). Stand in front of the abandoned Plaza de Toros (Bullring) which once hosted 10,000 bullfighting fans. Stand beneath the towering domes of the city's main church.
