Your narrated drive through Newport takes in the city's colonial section and along magnificent coastal Ocean Drive. Pass by the Tennis Hall of Fame, Trinity Church, and Redwood Library. Drive down Bellevue Avenue, home to fabulous summer cottages, and get a glimpse of the Gothic Church of Saint Mary's where Jacqueline Bouvier wed Senator John F. Kennedy. The highlight of your excursion is a visit to one of the area's palatial summer cottages, either The Elms or Rosecliff. Both are fine examples of Newport's Gilded Age and your knowledgeable guide will share fascinating lore from those bygone days as you explore the magnificent grounds.

Due to the popularity of the Newport mansions, anticipate a wait of up to 30 minutes for your tour. No flash photography,selfie sticks or tripods are allowed inside any mansion. Tour sequence may vary.Visit to the Elms requires the ability to navigate approximately 10 steps into the house. There is no elevator available at this time.
Mansion tours of the Elms & Rosecliff are self guided utilizing the Newport Mansions App audio tour. Guests must bring their own smart device with earbuds and download the Newport Mansions App. Guests are encouraged to download the App prior to arrival at the mansion. THe self-guided audio tour via App is avialable in English, French, Spanish, German, and Chinese. Additional house information, floor plans, historic photos, and other information is available on the App. Printed house narratives are available at the front door of each mansion.
