Walk in the footsteps of Washington and Jefferson with a visit to Colonial Williamsburg. Your invigorating day begins as you board your transportation. Sprawled across 301 acres, Williamsburg includes houses, shops and public outbuildings, many of which are reconstructed on their original foundations. Inside the stately Governor's Palace you'll find archeological artifacts, fine British and American antiques, Jefferson's drawings and General Assembly records. The Capitol building was last used as a capitol in 1779. Step inside and you'll discover an interior that's been meticulously refurnished to its former glory. From the Capitol, stroll down Duke of Gloucester Street to Merchants Square. Shop, grab a bite, take photos and window shop before climbing back aboard your transportation and returning to the pier.
