Begin your day with a scenic drive to Arashiyama, where you'll explore the iconic Bamboo Grove. Stroll along winding paths surrounded by towering bamboo, immersing yourself in the peaceful ambiance of this magical forest.
Next, enjoy a traditional riverside dining experience known as "Kawadoko". Relish a seasonal Japanese lunch on a platform above a flowing stream, accompanied by the soothing sounds of nature and stunning surroundings.
Continue to Katsuoji Temple, nestled in the serene Osaka mountains. Known as the "Temple of Winning," it's adorned with colorful daruma dolls left by visitors in gratitude for their successes. The tranquil grounds and inspiring atmosphere make this a truly memorable stop.
Finally, relax on your return journey to the port, reflecting on a day filled with cultural and natural wonders.
特記事項:
You will need to walk approximately 1 km one way from the parking lot to the Bamboo Forest. At Katsuoji Temple, you will need to climb approximately 200 steps. Additionally, you will walk about 800 meters round trip within the temple grounds.
From the restaurant parking lot to Kawadoko(Restaurant), you will transfer via a microbus. The Kawadoko dining area is located outdoors, so in case of sudden rain or if it rains the day before the call day, lunch may be moved indoors. Please also note that Kawadoko dining may be canceled entirely depending on the weather conditions.
You will need to remove your shoes before stepping onto the Kawadoko platform. The area where the riverside dining (Kawadoko) is located is approximately 3 degrees cooler than central Kyoto. It can feel chilly in March and November depending on the weather, so we recommend bringing a coat or jumper. In April and October, it is a good idea to bring an additional layer just in case. Please note that it can still be quite hot in August and September.
Comfortable walking shoes are required. This tour is not suitable for the guest with difficulty walking.
Please bring local currency for any additional payments.
