Discover Vanuatu's cultural heritage when you explore Ekasup Village, a traditional Melanesian compound. Board your minibus for a scenic drive into the heart of the Erakor rainforest. Here, you are welcomed by the Chief in his native costume along with his warriors in full regalia, complete with war clubs, spears, bows and arrows. The Chief and his guides will take you through the village, giving you a sample of the tribe's unique lifestyle. Learn how they prepare native products and ancient herbal medicines from the abundant flora. Watch a demonstration of hunting and trapping skills. Admire the beautiful woven handicrafts and see how the traditional dish laplap is prepared. Listen to the chief's chilling tales of the tribe's history of cannibalism and enjoy free time to browse for souvenirs and refresh with tropical fruits. A minibus ride brings you back to port.
