Experience an up-close look at one of Guatemala's active volcanoes during this rigorous, full-day, guided hike to the Pacaya Volcano! Enjoy an air-conditioned transportation drive to Pacaya National Park where you'll be greeted by certified guides. Begin your two hour trek up the mountain through forests and meadowlands which give way to volcanic sand and rock. You might even catch the smell of sulphur in the air as you reach a platform near the top of the volcano if the conditions allow it. Have your cameras at the ready for panoramic vistas of surrounding mountains. It's time to take a break and enjoy a beverage and snack that is provided. Enjoy a less strenuous one hour hike back down the mountain, contemplating the rare beauty you have witnessed on your volcano adventure.

Due to the nature of the hiking an active volcano, this tour may be cancelled at any time either before departure or during the tour to guarantee your safety at all times. Due to restrictions, the distance that participants can hike up the volcano is dependent on the volcano's activity level. Minimum age to participate is 12 years old. Maximum weight to participate is 250 pounds. Once participants join their tour, they will be required to complete a liability waiver.詳細
