Hiking Saguenay National Park

Hailed as the world's second-best walk and hiking trails network in National Geographic's "The 10 Best of Everything," this 4-hour excursion to Saguenay Fjord National Park offers plenty of spectacular sights. This is an intermediate hike so be sure to wear appropriate shoes and clothes. When you arrive, you'll follow your guide into the park for a 2-mile, 2-hour trek along the "point de vue du soupir" trail, which means perspective sigh. As you make your way along, you'll ooh, aah and sigh over your jaw-dropping surroundings. Look for peregrine falcons flying overhead; and you may spot a wolf, black bear, lynx or moose making its way through the forest. The hike culminates at a point where you will have remarkable views of the Fjord and surrounding mountains, rivers and valleys. Then, you'll make your way back to the park and, finally, return to the pier.
