Get a feel of what life was like 465 years ago with a walking tour through Old San Juan. This seven-to-ten block area boasts over 400 carefully restored 16th and 17th century Spanish colonial buildings. You'll begin your exploration with a tour of El Morro. After boarding your transportation you'll disembark at the oldest Spanish fort in the New World. Explore the grounds and its museum while enjoying sweeping views of San Juan Bay and the coastline. Your guided walk continues through the Ballaja Barracks, formerly a military barracks that now houses the Museum of the Americas. From here, you'll walk to Quincentennial Square, which overlooks the Atlantic from atop the highest point in the city. Some of Old San Juan's finest landmarks are its churches. Your stroll includes a stop to admire the great architecture of San José Church, San Juan Bautista Cathedral, and Cristo's Chapel.
