At the top, view the black lava blocks, domes of magma that literally froze in mid-air. Return to your tour boat and cruise the shores of Nea Kameni, where you will find several hot springs. Minerals in the water dramatically alter its color. The waters are quite shallow, but your boat will stop as close to the springs as possible for a photo opportunity. Weather permitting, anyone who wishes to go swimming can jump in and feel the water gradually changing temperature as you get closer to the shore.
