Your first destination will be Mikawachi pottery district. Firstly you will visit Mikawachi-ware Museum. Here you can see both Mikawachi's history and modern Mikawachi Ware with an exhibition room showing outstanding Mikawachi works.
Your pottery tour will continue to Mikawachi Sarayama(kiln mountain) know as a pottery-making region.
A guide will take you to the potteries and historical sites walking through the town with four hundred years of history.
Next, you will visit Umegae Sake Brewery. Since it was established in 1787, this sake brewery has been using the buildings of the Edo period. You will learn the process of making sake and you can try a sake tasting here.

This tour has a limited capacity. Perfume or fur product is not allowed while visiting the sake brewery. At Sake brewery, actual process of making sake might not be seen depending on the state of work. This tour involves about 1.5 hours walking including up/down slopes, steps and uneven path at Mikawachi Sarayama(kiln mountain). This tour is not recommended for guests with walking difficulties or wheelchairs. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring local currency for purchases. Traffic and delays are expected.
