A motorized boat tour deep into the heart of the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve offers a true wilderness experience and the ability to visit two ports in one day. Your tour begins as you board a high-speed catamaran for a scenic cruise along North America's longest and deepest fjord to Haines. Upon arrival, enjoy a bus ride along the Haines Scenic Byway for a narrated and informative journey en route to the preserve. Where the road ends, your adventure begins. Meet your captain and board a specially designed flat-bottomed vessel to cruise miles of scenic channels of the Chilkat River. Eagles, moose and bears are often spotted along the riverbank, making this a once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity. The peace and quiet will capture your soul and give you a new appreciation for the vast wilderness of Alaska and the people who call it home. A meal is provided.

Wear warm clothing and dress in layers. Your meal may be served before or after the river tour, whichever is meal time appropriate. Tidal conditions can make ramp to dock very steep, guests with limited mobility not recommended.Provided: Rain jacket, life jacket, blanket, headband, gloves, roundtrip cruise to Haines
