This full-day guided adventure combines a ride aboard the historic White Pass railroad and a hike to the magnificent Laughton Glacier. Your adventure begins with a 14-mile journey on the White Pass & Yukon Route railway aboard a vintage railcar. "The Scenic Railway of the World" provides views of spectacular waterfalls, rushing rivers and jagged mountain peaks. At Glacier Station, set off on a 6- to 8-mile roundtrip nature hike winding along the Skagway River to the majestic Laughton Glacier. The Laughton Valley is a magnificent sub-alpine rainforest, home to moose, bear and mountain goats. The terrain changes dramatically as you leave the forest, hike up the riverbed and climb over a boulder field up to the toe of the glacier. Enjoy the breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views, exposed crevasses and moulins of the great frozen river of ice. Upon your return to the trailhead, you'll reboard the train for the journey back to Skagway. Lunch is enjoyed at the end of your hike.

Since this tour enters Canada, all guests must carry a passport or other WHTI compliant document. For U.S. citizens these documents include: U.S. Passport, U.S. Passport Card, Enhanced Driver's License, Trusted Traveler Card and Military ID Card (for U.S. armed forces members on official orders). Citizens of certain countries need a visa to visit Canada – visit www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp to see if this applies. Written consent is required for children traveling into Canada without both parents.Minimum age is 9. Participants should be in good physical condition; this is a strenuous 6- to 8-mile hike over difficult terrain including rocks and tree roots. Tour operates rain or shine. Trekking poles, rain gear, hats, gloves and a small lumbar pack with a snack and water is provided. Dress in layers; wear closed-toed shoes with good ankle support.

Unaccompanied Minor Policy: Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
