Nature lovers will relish in discovering the Mangrove Lagoon Wildlife Sanctuary and Marine Preserve by kayak, snorkel and nature hike. This half-day, multi-eco experience is as thrilling for beginners as it is for seasoned outdoors people. You'll begin your expedition with experienced naturalists and biologists, kayaking past bird-filled mangrove islands over shallow and gentle waters to tropical Cas Cay. Watch for dwarf herrings, snowy egrets, eagle rays, great barracudas, jellyfish, mangrove crab and nurse sharks in their natural environment. After viewing a hermit crab race, you'll hike through a mangrove forest, exploring a scenic beach of coral and shell rubble with views overlooking the Caribbean Sea, Buck Island and French Cap. Next, snorkel in the shallow protected waters of a coral-fringed mangrove nursery. Your excursion concludes with a return paddle through Mangrove Lagoon to the marina, where you'll enjoy complimentary beverages and a light snack before returning to port.
