The richness of Tallinn is on full display on this enriching sightseeing tour designed for small groups. You'll travel from the pier to Toompea hill, where you'll begin your walking tour through medieval Tallinn, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll to Palace Square, site of the stunning 19th century Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. Nearby, sits 800-year-old St. Mary's; also known as Dome Church -- the city's oldest church. Continue to a scenic overlook for sweeping views over the spires of Tallinn's lower Old Town before enjoying free time to browse for gifts and souvenirs. Then, head downhill into Lower Old Town for a well-earned coffee break before walking to picturesque Town Hall Square to see the 600-year-old Guild Hall. Continue to the Great Guild Hall - one of the highlights of the Medieval Old Town. The building dates back to the 15th century and it used to be the main gathering place for merchants, who were wealthy and powerful members of society. The main highlight of the building is the main hall with its blind arches and exhibits which introduce Estonian history. Finally, you'll visit St. Catherine's Passage, home to a collection of artisan studios featuring Baltic glassware, quilts, hats and other traditional crafts. Shop for souvenirs and gifts before rejoining your motorcoach.
